peeps say 'we need to learn from that .
fine.
RS will say -young team/need to learn -fine.

what will be ignored again-and it was evident pre season -the defence is non existent.
the funds may not be there to fund better defenders-fine -can accept that -but dont say in next breath - fgr are playoff material-
They are mid table best with defence as it is .

RS will also say how BW have been together -fine-so if thats the formula-why lose 6 defenders over the summer ?

I must confess I'm simply struggling to understand what RS is doing and why?
Certain players released in the summer didn't make sense, and neither does the continued 'experiment' with our defence.
Mendy always seemed a waste of a talent in defence last season when he could and should have been more effective in midfield.
Anybody, and I literally do mean anybody, that follows football knows that you start with a solid back four, especially in the NL where we have only two go up.
Why hasn't a former Premier league and International player worked this out. I just don't get it.
Personally, I thought we were lucky the past two weeks. We could have been three down at HT at Worthing.
Third week in a row, two at home, where we've conceded very early goals.
Personally, I'm worried 😟

It Is Now & sons
To be playoff contenders we need to sign some experienced defenders- not converted wingers or young loanees. BW had Bush at No5 today and he won every header and tackle (except one) carried the ball forward confidently and marshalled his defence. Without a player of that ability we will concede goals every game. He is 34 years old and played most of his career in Non-League.

Fair play to BW they were light years better than us and were very well organised. Good reality check.

RS in Private Eye this week! I wonder if a club coach would normally be expected not to have a number of other jobs?

Losing to a very good Boreham Wood team is acceptable, the manner of the defeat was unacceptable. So many players went into their shells, body language was poor, communication was poor, lost far to many first and second balls all match. Leadership needed on the pitch if we are going to really compete with the top teams.

Probably does not help that he has an owner/boss who seemingly wants to be entertained .
maybe DV should adopt a basketball team to he can see a lot of 'goals' from both sides ?.

Im old enough to remember the good old days, when we were getting thrashed 3 or 4 to nil by sides like Sheffield Wednesday and derby county

Im in my 29th season with FGR and the last time I recall such a shambles was in 2007 when we list a Friday night home fixture to Oxford Utd 1-5.
Individually we showed good touches, the players are skillful enough, they just aren't being managed as a team.

What i cant understand is why better players like innis bunker doifge Knowles (scored again today) yaya etc were discarded.
They did nt want to be here even if offered a new contract.
We have proper defenders discarded Harries gone kirkough in the wardrobe.obi was unfortunately injured but did nt lookgood enough.
It is abit of a mess.
