I've never quite understood that a Director of Football, with apparently more power over appointments and with greater influence over the footballing side of things, the clue being in the job title, has little or no public facing profile, and is never questioned (interviewed) by the press.
Not just at FGR but throughout the various leagues. It seems to me that the DoF should be the perfect candidate to become Team Manager and should stand up to be counted. In the case of FGR, the current incumbent has signed over 40 players, is our lack of positive results down to the Manager or the Director ? RS had management issues but was directed by MB, as often could be seen on the touchline. Just asking...

Not sure how much influence our DoF has, or had, over what the manager was doing but I had noticed him heading for the changing rooms at half time when the team went for their piece of orange/cup of tea/pep talk...on Tuesday evening he even had Asif with him (don't think he was carrying a laptop).

Karl Robinson has had some success with MK Dons, Oxford United and Salford... and he didn't get the Peterborough job.

Robinson is a proper manager with a degree of success in the EFL. Would FGR be beneath him or would he see it as an 'opportunity' to prove himself. I think the latter.

For me, it should be between Maynard, Robinson, Williams and 'Hinsh'.

When do we think this will be sorted? Surely giving the new guy as much time as possible before our next game would be preferable....but this is FGR 😉😂

Might see some progress this week. I think Dale was too busy in Liverpool last week cheering on his new leader to worry too much about appointing one back at base camp.

I’d like to think he has a few “interviews” in his diary starting tomorrow ..

Done a very average job there, surely we can do better then that?

Agreed. Would be very underwhelming.
