Granted MacAnthony is known to talk a lot of waffle but this is an interesting soundbite. If we're paying L1 standard wages to our manager you'd like to think we'd be able to get a good one in.
For what it's worth I think Williams is a good shout. Great record at this level, and then had Notts comfortable in L2 before moving on to Swansea where things did take a bit of a turn. He was based in the area fairly recently with his stint working at Bristol Airport between jobs so we wouldn't have the issue of him moaning about the travel etc.
Possession football is probably going to be key with our profile of striker too, neither Jose or Rees, when he returns, can play as a target man. Mellor hasn't looked up to the standard and we don't know much about Kairo's injury situation. Being a bit more sensible with the ball is a good idea as long as it doesn't become pedestrian.
Biggest thing from all this is I can't wait for it to be over so we can focus on the football again.
