Ht report need to do better........
City getting through midfield and defence far too easily.
We have to give them time but we only have half a game and one b Swindon leftovers to sort it out.
I hope there is a closed door friendly midweek next week.

46' | The players are back out for the second half, with changes.

On:  Haughton, Kircough, Osude, Campbell, Kengni.

Off:  Ajayi, Ewing, Berry, McAllister, Patrick.

Today's matchday attendance is 1173, of which 104 are away.

50' | Haughton whips in a dangerous ball from a free-kick, which is defended for a Rovers corner.

52' | Etaluku breaks through the defensive line to earn Rovers another corner. The resulting corner landed on the head of Kircough;
his effort looked goal-bound but was well cleared

56' | Etaluku puts it on a plate for Haughton; the midfielder just mis-timed his effort.

GOAL:  56 ' | Etaluku from deep finds Kelly. The midfielder dinks it over the keeper and heads it home.
A lovely goal from the young loanee.    FGR 2 - 2 Bristol City

61' | Excellent sweeping from McNicholas to see the ball out for a throw.

63' | A big round of applause for Kyle Kelly

On:   Walsh

Off:   Kelly

GOAL:    64' | Keng hangs a ball up at the back stick for D'Mani Mellor. The Rovers number 9 is free in the area,
and he heads home to put us in front!   FGR 3 - 2 Bristol City

67' | A great brace for D'Mani

On:    Rees

Off:    Mellor

70' | Etaluku makes way.

On:   Conteh

Off:   Etaluku

73' | Kircough tries the spectacular with an overhead kick from the edge of the box.

74' | Another change

On:  Agina

Off:  Pemberton

77' | Osude races through and tries to unselfishly tee up Rees; the winger just gets it wrong, and the visitors clear their lines.

82' | Should be four! Keng does very well to cut the ball back for Haughton; it is well saved, however.

88' | Haughton has a half-volley that is well saved by the keeper.

88' | WALSH! Was that a cross?! The midfielder whips an effort from the left; the City keeper is stranded, and it rattles the post!

90' | Rees is through on goal; he just doesn't get it right, and the keeper saves with his legs.

Full Time:  Forest Green Rovers 3 - 2 Bristol City

I remember reading that Obi took quite a while to settle in at Kidderminster at NLN level. My concern is that he's been relegated at this level before with Fylde. He's not a kid, he's 25. Put Ajayi alongside him and you've got a NLN/NLS central defensive partnership.
spot on :

ok-no doubt some young loanee will be signed to bolster numbers ,but over summer 6 NL experienced grizzly defenders have left, 'in exchange' for 2 players from lower level (who to be fair may be ok )and kircough -who is also ok ) but 3 ok's do not match in anyway the 6 players capable of playing better in central defence who from this summer are no longer with the club.
again-to be fair -in second half v cardiff-i thought Ajayi looked pretty assured

doesnt matter ( yet ) but dale and robbie are having fun watching the goals being conceded left ,right and centre .

Reckon he’s our most improved player. Think he found the step up quite difficult initially and ended up out of favour for a while but towards the end of last season and in PSF’s so far he’s been great and imo deserves to start v Halifax ⚽️

Probably just as well we're not playing City's best team as they're currently battering Newcastle 3-0!

Good crowd for us though
