It took us a while to really get in the groove, but the first half did show FGR to be far the better team. Strange it took the sending off to get Haughton to put in a great pass for Mellor to net.
Second half we completely dominated and only getting three more goals flattered Brackley. We were as threatening and dynamic as we have been all season with Haughton, McAllister and Clarke all looking a class above.
Top notch performance from Kyle once again, but Knowles was often the catalyst to our most energetic moves. I'm happy for him to pick up MOTM again.
McAllister's goal was a joy to behold but Mendy's wasn't far behind, also rifling into the goal. Shame there weren't more shots of this quality. Nick Houghton had three assists, he is becoming a key asset to the team as they gain momentum heading into the play offs.. Today's performance should cement his place in the starting eleven.
Pleased LM unlocked her wardrobe. Temi was only on the field for half an hour but he looked sharp and won most of the balls in the air. Again, a very useful player to have on the bench.
JMT is undoubtedly the lynchpin who is needed to organise our defence. Kanu had a decent game but he doesn't have the experience or the judgement to command the penalty area.
Interesting end to the season with both York and Rochdale vying for the automatic spot. Carlisle slipped up against a rejuvenated Gateshead, but should still secure the third place slot, with Boreham Wood not far behind.
Scunny, FGR and Southend will join BW in the eliminators, 5th our objective to get a home tie.
Good crowd, turn up the volume even more at Truro and home to Braintree next week.
Eight goals in two games, keep it going Rovers
