Discipline still a problem only just under the surface but it was a deserved if rather boringly professional one - and that's what we needed.

Rees's injury looked a bad one so I expect he will be out for a while. I'm not sure who will take his place. Doidge is no longer able to last more than 70 minutes and is a bit slower than he was and Babalola looks only capable of troubling defences with his sheer physicality not any goalscoring.

Mingi would have been my MotM but Chibby and Campbell were also decent. And Knowles did take his goal well.

Important win!

Enjoyed RS interview but worried now we wont see Ricardo again this season ...fingers crossed for Monday's scan.
Only had the radio glos commentary but it seemed a comfortable win and great to get a clean sheet, which makes winning a lot easier.

Defending well and taking chances will get us close .

Marine(Crosby Liverpool) beat Woking 1.0 so hopefully a home draw v Southport...I might get 2 trips to Wembley this year and a trip to Budapest 30th May.......

Phew! A win!
I was pleased to see the press working well. Everyone working hard. Gateshead struggled to deal with it, which gave us plenty of breathing room.
Knowles brilliantly active again. Considering the loss in his family, its amazing how focused he was. That deserves respect.
Kanu looked shakey again; a bouncing ball seems to be his kryptonite.
Mendy in midfield is always a good to see. He works so much better in that role. Keep him there!
I think Rees is out for the rest of the season. RS said he heard a click. Broken foot bone?
It makes me wonder what they will do up front now. Babalola‘s air kick summed up his contribution. Osude is out for a while. Mitchell also out. I wouldn’t be surprised if some windmills were turning mid week.
But all in all, a glorious clean sheet, 3 points, minimal errors, and more importantly, a good amount of effort put in.

so much credit to the 120 that made that trip.

winter /on losing run /a long way .

thats an immense effort .

just to add, according to the rs post match interview-and those who made the trip from nailsworth would be able to confirm - but seems quite a few there who are 'resident ' in the north of the country and even over the border it seems -but its equally valiant that when given the realistic opportunity -they rock up to support.
(hartlepool coming up in what will prob be a very important fixture )
