I said at the start of the season if Rovers wanted to win the National League, then the two pivotal games that they would have to win was a way to Braintree Town and away to Brackley Town.

Their return from those two games is a paltry one point and if we cannot break down their defences and score at least a goal per game against those two teams, then the top ones we’ve still to play away including Rochdale, Scunthorpe and York then the omens are not good.
F136 a seat for all seasons; but sadly not 2019/20 as it didn’t happen.

O.. that doesn’t sound like good performance. Very disappointing result! Never mind there’s always the next game. Let’s face it we are playoff team we won’t finish first! Keep hoping for positive results 👍.. All the best to all Fgr fans

Awful way to start the second half of the season against a team who have been on a losing streak

Agree with Deenethorpe “inexplicable” and ranks alongside Braintree and Boston games

As I said at the start of the season, it took us many many years to get out of the national league.
It will take us many years to return to the leagues as well.
When Vince was meddling with the staff and management whilst we were in the division 1 and 2 he was doing much more damage than most realised.
Hopefully we can keep hold of young Mr Savage for a few seasons.
He at least can relate to the fans and that is a rare thing at FGR these days.

aww c'mon -disappointing ?-totally
-but no shock -everyone knows the rules-fgr are rubbish in second half of the season.

Mr Savage has read the rule book.

i hate this clamour for yet another striker-there are 4 aleady-plis marquez.
adding another wont make any difference except hack others off .

-sort the defence out-thats what wins leagues

only half-good result today? York drawing their game -almost losing it, but for a very late goal... let's win (please!) the next two games and all will look very much better.

Just listened to the managers post match interview. He states we are not going to win the league and we are a playoff team! Don’t know why someone dislikes my previous post? Maybe you know more than the manager!

He said 'winning the league is now really, really unlikely' and the performance was 'unacceptable'. He's not wrong on either count. RS is clearly very unhappy.

Interesting comment about someone being through on goal but fell over because they had the wrong footwear on.

Slight improvement second half, but we never really looked like scoring from open play, corners or free kicks.

Today we seemed to lack energy and commitment compared to Brackley.

Full credit to the home team, a tiny club, part-time and with limited resources showed up FGR.

Our travelling support was impressive in numbers, almost as many as Gateshead had at their last home match.

The manager has apologised for our performance, perhaps the players would have been more up for it if they had trained yesterday?

A reaction is expected against TRURO

Can't win them all, would much rather give up points to a team unlikely to be challenging for promotion, no matter how frustrating that is...going into a game expecting to win does few favours and often ends in wiping custard pie off your face...just ask the England cricket team!

I might be wrong and apologise if I am, but in his interview RS seems to blame Doidge for not scoring when one on one. I just don't think it's fair to single him out, if he is, for missing his only opportunity, when he hardly gets a look in, in the first team.

Give CD a run of games to find his match fitness and I reckon you'll reap rewards.

Not sure what Temi's stats are for goals from starts but hardly groundbreaking. Saying that, Temi does so much good work battling defenders and holding the ball up.
