Pitchfork
It's a long time until this year's FAC commences for FGR, but the extra preliminary starters kick off in two weeks. It would be satisfying for us to have a decent run in this competition. Our final match 25/26 at Luton was a memorable match, one that will remain in the memory for a long time.

743 clubs have entered in 26/27, most will be eliminated in the 5 rounds preceding our debut in the 4th qualifying round.

The prize money is very welcome to all clubs, especially those non-league clubs trying to balance their books. For us it's far more worthwhile than the minimal pickings from the National League Cup.

A good run in the Trophy is also good fun, often matches against clubs we have never played before. However prize money here is far less, the 10th round (quarter final) is still only £7500 for the winners

Below, the chart shows the earnings from when we enter the FAC

BUT the league is the clear priority, another attempt to return to the 92, more funding and several local fixtures.

Reasonably local, or West Country/South West teams going through to the 4th QR: Worcester City, Gloucester City, Oxford City, Plymouth Parkway (sounds more like a railway station than a football club), Torquay Utd and Truro City...that is about it!
Green in a sea of red!
