Kirkcough should not be slated in front of the press.... that should always stay behind closed doors.
RS signed him.....RS trains him... RS picks him... so RS as much to blame as Kircough.
After the Inniss fiasco maybe players go out with a bit of fear in them that they will get blamed then dropped.
Haughton should have played every game regardless if he had a few under par games. Playing every week he would have grown into the team/enviroment and would have been flourishing.
Totally agree with every word FG .Very unprofessional of Mr Savage unacceptable in my opinion .It would have been better to have put an arm round him explain the error and tell him he will learn from that mistake but now Robbie has probaly knocked all the conferdence out of the lad .Hopefully his character will see him through and make him a better player .One question for for Mr Savage : How would you feel if your sons coach threw him under the bus in public ? Dont think you would like it . Very disapointed in you RS thought you where a better man than this.

I d rather have JMT on one leg if he is the future national league north.
You cant buy Welsh or national league north /south players and expect them to improve.Mendy is the exception.
This is the point. It's a massive step up from the Cymru Premier to the National League playoff positions. Look at how TNS trounce teams week in, week out. Kircough was at Bridgend who are probably on a par with Weston-super-Mare. Week in, week out he was defending against teams no better than that, with the likes of Llanelli and Bala being Southern League standard. It's a huge jump up. If RS thinks he's good enough, send him out on loan next season and let him develop. If not, Radnor Valley will have him.

We are chasing a near impossible dream with the current recruitment policy. For every Ethan Pinnock there are one thousand very average to very poor National League players. Needles in haystacks.

Even so, for a manager who publicly says he doesn't slam his players, RS threw Kircough right under the bus. He moans about individual errors, but Kircough is his player. Each and every time he and Kanu play they are accidents waiting to happen. Our defence is just not good enough and it has been this way all season, yet RS has continued to play them.

Can someone tell RS the microphone on his jacket like that makes him look a clown.

The result is what it is. We're in the play offs.
Our league form has been inconsistent to say the least.
No doubt there will be more tinkering up to an including morecambe.
But then it's 2 cup games to get to Wembley.
Who knows what team will get picked for those games. Go for it, or just continue chopping and changing and write it all off.
Until next season.
Then what ?

Another abject performance.  Out fought and tactically very poor over both games against the League’s whipping boys.
The excruciating thing is that we have far better players than Kanu, Mingi, Buyabu, Babalola and  Nwoku currently picking up daisies.  Bar Whitwell those on loan have over most of the season been a real disappointment.  That we couldn’t beat a team playing park football shows how overrated many of the squad are.  Held together by Istead, MacAllister, Mendy and an increasingly frustrated Haughton and Mellor we have largely chucked this season away and won’t beat anyone in the playoffs unless we start playing the right players in the right positions.
We aren't going to beat anyone in the playoffs unless we learn how to play away from home.

Fastest way to lose the dressing room is to criticise players to the press. When they get it wrong do it privately, but more importantly constructively so it becomes a learning/ development session. Don't forget RS, you signed these players, so maybe look at yourself first.

No need for a public dressing down.,he will kn ow what did was fairly stupid but mendy and kanu try and playout with mixed success too.
Maybe we should have bunker on the bench to shore up defence and midfield.
RS needs to apologise and coach properly so we can develop these players.

Thought I could write, scroll, return to this post, it didn't save. It said to the effect, Discipline was warned of my post over 5hrs ago, and in pre match email to reception. Technology may allow emails to be accessed , related to the squad, RS. If sound advice is ignored, seriously it's letting down badly all the club is meant to stand for, and all the effort to make the best from those players .
Discipline kircough to make him improve, leave him out of next match.
You have the quality there ,Bunker. Innis, Jmt fitness?, others, Ricardo Rees situation?
Push up for a home play off, learn from today
Scunthorpe, Southend can falter. We Can't!
Best wishes, see my emails of today, Apply what's in them, COYR
